Richard, having just changed my plug, the infamous rubber one, I believe it is a poor choice of materials and design by Suzuki. the new one is a soft pliable rubber seal. the one I took out (96 w/18kmiles) was hard as a rock. It also sits just above an air cooling passage right behind the head pipe, so it get a lot of heat.I'm sure I will get to do it again after many more miles of good times. Microsoft would call it a feature, the rest of us a bug. Max
